Sarvodaya meditation garden
Sarvodaya Garden provides a meditative space to relax in nature.
As a phrase coined by Mahatma Gandhi, Sarvodaya means "For the Good or Wellbeing of All.” Sarvodaya embodies biophilic art and design tenants as a sustainable space utilizing rammed earth, reclaimed natural materials, and a rainwater collection feature for indigenous plantings.
Constructed from several tons of stabilized rammed earth, stone, and bronze, Sarvodaya serves as a meditative reprieve with a reminder that water is precious, and rain in the desert is an event to celebrate, and an opportunity to conserve and reuse. Collected rainwater feeds an indigenous mesquite tree that was reclaimed from an abandoned site.
