Tucson wwii Memorial
In Collaboration with Artist Laurie Slenning
After so many years without a formal memorial, Tucson now has a lasting place of rest and peace for veterans who served during WWII.
Over 25 Veterans organizations supported this project, including former Governor Janet Napolitano, the Arizona State Legislature, the Pima County Board of Supervisors, and the City of Tucson Mayor and Council.
The Yellow Satin Ribbon: Artist Rebecca Thompson tied 25 yards of yellow satin ribbon on the completed sculpture to welcome home all who served.
